The eye behind the lens: Marisa Campbell
Welcome to a portfolio of my work! I've been photographing children, adults, and animals for 30 years, and loving every minute of it. There's a sense of magic and wonder with every photo session...a blending of personalities and visions that I ultimately capture in every photograph I take. Whether I'm photographing an exuberant child, a peacefully sleeping newborn, or a poised adult, I approach everyone with a sensitivity that puts people at ease in front of the camera.
My artistic background, as well as my many years as an editor and writer, adds a layered element to my photography. I have interviewed and written about world-famous photographers, such as the portrait photographer Yousef Karsh; nature photographers Frans Lanting and Art Wolfe; the humanitarian/photographer Phil Borges, and many more. My articles have appeared in Studio Photography & Design, as well as Photo Insider.
With each of my photographic sessions, I aim to capture moments of beauty and the wonder of people, no matter what age they may be.
